The Challenge

Sunraja Foods, a regional edible oil producer, was selling exclusively through wholesale distributors with no direct online channel. The brand had strong repeat buyer loyalty in their home market but zero digital presence. Without a website or eCommerce capability, they had no way to reach retail consumers, capture direct orders from small retailers, or build a brand story that differentiated their cold-pressed oils from commodity products. They needed a brand site and Shopify store built quickly, without a large budget.

Our Solution

We designed and built a brand website paired with a Shopify store, structured to serve two distinct audiences: retail consumers buying for home use and small retailers placing bulk orders. The brand site leads with the production process — sourcing, cold-pressing methodology, and the health differentiation of their oils — since this is the key purchase driver for their premium product line. The Shopify store handles both retail packs and bulk-order SKUs, with a tiered pricing structure for retail vs. trade buyers. Razorpay handles payments with UPI prominently positioned for Indian mobile buyers.

Brand Positioning & Site Architecture

Worked with the Sunraja team to define the core brand messages — process transparency, regional origin, and health credentials — and structured the site to lead with these before introducing products. Created separate navigation paths for retail consumers and trade buyers so each audience reaches their relevant content quickly.

Shopify Store Development

Set up Shopify with a custom theme adapted to showcase the oil variants (cold-pressed groundnut, sesame, coconut) with detailed product descriptions covering extraction method, nutrition, and recommended uses. Built a trade enquiry flow alongside the standard checkout for buyers wanting to discuss bulk orders.

Payment & Delivery Integration

Integrated Razorpay covering UPI, net banking, and card payments. Configured Shiprocket for automated delivery rate calculation and shipment label generation. Set up COD as a payment option for first-time buyers in markets where prepaid adoption was lower.

SEO Foundation & Launch

Built the site on a solid SEO foundation with appropriate title tags, product schema, and a blog section seeded with content on the health benefits of cold-pressed oils — terms with meaningful organic search volume in India. Submitted the store to Google Merchant Center for Shopping ads readiness on day one.
